The SR-X1, a new entry-level electrostatic headphone model from Stax, features a classic circular design reminiscent of traditional listening chambers, combined with a sleek modern aesthetic.
This latest model, inspired by the SR-1 and SR-X headphones, delivers a flat and neutral sound reproduction typical of electrostatic headphones.
Innovatively, the sound production unit is housed directly within the circular structure, minimizing interference in order to achieve precise and focused sound output.
The headphones are equipped with open slits at the back, featuring varying thickness and a smooth curved shape to allow sound waves to flow outward smoothly, reducing distortion. A newly designed rack ensures a better fit, while the use of metal materials helps to dampen unnecessary resonances.
The integration of metal materials in the stand and head pad results in a lightweight SR-X1 that prevents listening fatigue, even during extended use. Soft sheepskin ear pads, combined with new memory foam, enhance comfort and fit within the ears.
The SR-X1 boasts a frequency response of 7-41,000Hz, a sound pressure sensitivity of 101dB/100Vr, and a bias voltage of DC580V.
